The first interview I’ve done since around 17 years ago when a guy from Ming Bo [HK rag] asked to talk to me about the first book I ever wrote and, at the end, said I sounded angry.

This is my new method of response, not unlike a de-con-struc. Can’t call me angry if you can’t get a foothold.

Tbh, reading it again, the surrealist lunacy may aggravate a bit. I think it stays just the right side of the line, but maybe not.

Managed to sneak in a few discreet tags of writers I like [Karina Bush, Rebecca Gransden, Gary J Shipley, Ami J Sanghvi, Ryan Raymond Buell and even Kij Johnson, specifically the story she wrote about poking an alien in a lifepod]. Very very discreet tags tbh. You may have to dig around a bit.
