Just like de-con-struc with novels/novellas, this is NOT a series of reviews.

It’s more akin to a live reading of the text.

Short text that is often posted online and liked and then completely not engaged with.

I want to engage.

Filter in my psyche.

Pollute via ludicrous tangents.

Occasionally rope in a philosophy book I’ve just loaned out from the library [and then butcher said philosophy].

What else?

Unlike de-con-struc, this will be scrawled notes scanned onto my computer and posted directly onto the site, so there may be more typos/errors than usual.

I’ll go back over the notes before I scan and hopefully catch most of them, but there’s something beautiful about mistakes and/or me pinballing into things I don’t know much about.

Methodology?

Not much, just random scouring of lit/weird/sci-fi sites for short stories and poems and experimental hybrid stuff, making a list and then pairing each of them up with another that may or may not be related thematically/symbolically.

E.g. the first pair both have flies in them.

As with all the de-con-strucs I’ve done, a lot of this may be way off, but could also be way on too.

Just let it wash over you.
