PREVENTS PERVERT INCIDENTS

Here’s what I got so far, it’s not much, hope it’s not too removed from original source.

Title: No idea

Characters: Ozzy Osbourne [a lookalike is better as it plays to the whole real/facsimile aspect]

Gaff

Fat Guy

Gay Equivalent [can be a hitman perhaps? Mythical name…]

World’s toughest customers [anti-capitalist cult]

Locations: Phallic High Rise [too close to the new Ballard adapt maybe, can be changed]

Screen Porch [where Fat Guy operates from]

Plot: Gaff is recommended by Fat Guy to enter a phallic high rise and see why everything is becoming cave. He goes in and things start to weave in and out of reality, and eventually he starts to wonder if the Phallic High Rise is the true view of what the universe actually is.

Subplot: Fat Guy also dispatches Gay Equivalent, a legendary assassin, to cut out the left side of Ozzy Osbourne’s brain. He accomplishes this task early on and takes the half-brain back to Fat Guy…only to be distracted by the world’s toughest customers chasing a new baby into the Phallic High Rise. He follows them in and ends up in a giant reflection of his subconscious, and his subconscious wants him to run around preventing pervert incidents i.e. men and women having sex, men and men having sex, men standing outside toys r us with their pants round their ankles etc.

Ending: No idea, but what I don’t want to happen is Gaff and Gay Equivalent meeting up and resolving things or getting out of the high rise. In fact, I’d like it if they were forced to settle down and try to live in this weirdness.

Themes: What is real?

It’s been done many times, but never like this, where the weirdest things are speculated to be the real truth of the universe.

Gaff = mistake/error

He and his version of the world are wrong, and the Phallic High Rise is right. Or is it the other way round. Is he a gaff in our world or a gaff in the other?

Gay Equivalent is a killer, preventing the continued expression of life. In the Phallic High Rise, he becomes the killer of sexual expression.

I don’t know exactly what that’s saying about the world, but it’s gotta mean something, right?

I think the tagline for this has to be: Facts become Cave. It’s by far the strongest line in the poem and in a weird way it sums up what’s happening in that High Rise. Everything really does become cave.
