It was inevitable that ‘Twisted Pair’ would turn up eventually.
And here it is.
Ambushing another rejected story I wrote called ‘Bad Simulacra’, which itself was a riff on a Cortazar story, ‘Simulacra’. In that story, the family was building and taking down and rebuilding a scaffold that slowly detached from its original signified.
In ‘Bad Simulacra’, the scaffold became a teleporter, and I kept this element for ‘Twisted Pair’ as Neil Breen is vaguely sci-fi.
I haven’t actually watched any of his films, just the redlettermedia BoTW videos. And I don’t know if he really belongs with Cortazar.
But there he is
re-imagined
+ re-decorated with MIC WORD artistic effects.
The black-space background is back too, despite promises that it was gone for good.
Sorry.
Felt right to use it.
