A kind of preview/mood sample of an upcoming mega project based on 1972 ‘trapped + fractured woman’ giallo, All The Colours Of The Dark [didn’t know this before but it has an alt-title: They’re Coming To Get You!] that will attempt to group-suffocate itself with 2 main pillows: surrealism + existential dread/horror.

The methodology [behind the project]: get 10 other writers to watch the film and then add whatever they like to a bedrock layer of, I think, 40 pages. That layer was written by me about a year ago yet when it was done I felt that it had a lot of gaps + fissures that maybe around 10 other writers could burrow inside of and exploit.

The Cast [in alphabetical order]:

Ryan Raymond Buell – point + click Grand Deus narrator of Exit Reality, lover of Ed Furlong’s Brainscan, tried to interview me once

Karina Bush – Hyperreal shaman queen of Fourth Industrial Revolution Slut, a kind of video novella I may have raved about once or twice

Madelaine Culver – introduced me to Asemic scrawls with her ethereal The Second Dream, also an academic sage of female-directed horror

A.A. de Levine – writer of a great de-con-struc of Asylum plus various short stories, must be headlocked into writing a novella at some point

Sara Matson – surrealizer [with a ‘z’] of [women in STEM], poetess of shifting stanzas

Monique Quintana – discovered via fleeting magic realism in The Zoo Cru & Other Assimilations

Ami J. Sanghvi – creator of pataphysical madness, x( )-id </3, that hugged to death/re-life the black-ground and neon colour text

Gary J. Shipley – occasional watcher of Begotten + guide into [horror state of] multiple inversions of self that metastasized in You With Your Memory Are Dead

Danika Stegeman – a mod on the imaginary Psycho Holosuite boards, poetess behind Pilot [About Lost but not] and Ablation, who taught me everything I know about centos

Andrew C. Wenaus – morse code revivalist who writes things that I know for 99% certain I’m misinterpreting e.g. Ω – 1 CHRONOTOPOLOGIC WORKINGS

Me [Oli] – creator of this post/site/pocket galaxy

The project is on the second to last contributor now, so should be out in September. There will also be a video trailer sometime before then, made by me [unless it looks bad, real bad + needs binning, then forget I wrote this part].
