Another novel that doesn’t really fit anywhere – too experimental for horror presses, not experimental enough for experimental presses – so it’s going up here in serial form.

The whole thing is around 83,000 words, which should work out to around 30-40 chapters. Not too long. Gives me more time to figure out the epic sci-fi serial, Trek-analogue thing I’ve always wanted to do.

I’ll try 2 chapters a week, Monday and Thursday, see how it goes.

Here’s the synopsis:

Wandering around Romania looking for the castle from Masque of the Red Death is pretty much it for Daniella and, even though that castle was probably nothing more than a matte painting, she finds something similar, eerily similar, with a Turkish-looking Prospero and a frustrating Juliana both jabbering non-stop Romanian at her.

Eventually, things settle

doors of Satan are sought after

minds buckle

and the purple above the castle anneals its cage.
